This charming property, perched high on the hillside, has stunning views across a valley - a peaceful setting for a relaxing break.
Casa del Monte lies above the small traditional village of Villa. It boasts uninterrupted views of the beautiful Caldueño valley and the Sierra del Cuera mountains beyond. Inside, the decor is simple and tasteful and each bedroom has sloping wooden ceilings and a large window from which to enjoy the views. Downstairs there's a comfortable open-plan area with French windows to the covered terrace outside. This terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy the Asturian scenery over an early morning coffee or a relaxing evening drink, with only the tinkle of cow bells for company.
Villa is in a convenient location halfway between the coast and the Picos de Europa. It's a 15-minute drive to the coast, with four or five good beaches to choose from. The pretty harbour town of Llanes is about half an hour away. There are good restaurants a five-minute drive from the house.
Please note that although this property doesn't have central heating, it has radiators in the bedrooms upstairs and a fireplace on the groundfloor with an airflow system that is very efficient at keeping the house warm in the winter.
