The property is very clean and overall well equipped. It is in a fantastic location in the village and the beach is a 15-minute walk. The beach is really beautiful and very safe, extremely good for families. The owners of the property are very lovely and very patient with our lack of Spanish. They where very helpful in purchasing some provisions and providing beach towels. P Cotter-Boston
A comfortable two-bedroom house within a few minutes of the coast and the fishing town of Ribadesella.
El Nozal is a recently-built house following the style of the traditional Asturian villa. The exterior is stone-built with a striking wooden façade around the bedroom windows. Inside, there's a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living/dining area with a table. The bedrooms have a characterful sloping ceiling and the second bedroom has a single bed that can become a bunk bed if an additional bed is required.
The house is in the small village of Sebreño which lies just above Ribadesella and is a mere 15-minute walk from one of the longest beaches in Asturias, Playa de Santa Marina, at the end of which lie the remains of some dinosaur footprints! Ribadesella itself is a popular resort for Spaniards and has a pretty old quarter with plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars. Ribadesella is also home to the Tito Bustillo caves, which contain some of the most important paleolithic cave paintings in Europe.
In spite of its proximity to the coast, Sebreño is only a short drive away (less than an hour) from the foothills of the Picos de Europa. The nearby town of Ribadesella is also a great centre for adventure activities such as canoeing and rafting.
