With breathtaking views over a beautiful valley, this house above the village of Villa is a peaceful way to enjoy rural Asturias and its mountains and rugged coastline.

One of the most peaceful locations of any of our properties, La Pedrerina I is a recently-restored property high on the hillside looking over the village of Villa and onto a glorious valley and the distant mountains.

The house is on a private road with only two other houses – AS038 La Pedrerina II and another holiday home which is rarely occupied. The house is simply but tastefully decorated, and there's plenty of space. The bedrooms have vaulted timber ceilings and boast wonderful views. Through the kitchen door there's an "horreo" (Asturian grain house) belonging to the house.

One of many traditional Asturian villages scattered about the mountainside, Villa is a short downhill walk from the property and tradesmen arrive almost every day selling meat and fish. Three bakers visit the village daily and there's a farm where you can buy fresh milk and eggs. You can find good restaurants a five-minute drive from the village.

The property is conveniently located between sea and mountains. There are plenty of walking routes in the surrounding area, from easy strolls to more demanding mountain treks. If you walk up onto the Sierra del Cuera, you can see almost the entire east coast of Asturias. There are several beaches to choose from just 20 minutes from the house, and the pretty fishing town of Llanes about half an hour away.

There's an optional daily cleaning service for a fee.
