Gloriously set in a quiet valley, with views to hills and mountains in all directions, El Cantil is a relaxing base for exploring the surrounding mountains, the Picos, nearby river valleys and the coast.

El Cantil is a restored traditional house in the small village of La Goleta, in the beautiful region of Piloña, which lies about 20 miles west of the Picos, but still amidst dramatic mountain scenery. The house is alone at the end of a short lane, on a slightly raised part of the valley, so it's a quiet spot with beautiful views across the valley. A field with horses and cows is next to the property.

Formerly a shepherd's home, the house has been carefully restored with wooden floors and ceilings throughout. The ground floor boasts a large kitchen with table and chairs, as well as a spacious living room and bathroom. Upstairs there's a double bedroom with views to the side, and two twin bedrooms that share a wooden terrace which looks across the valley to the mountains - a peaceful spot to watch the sun set.
