Set in the higher part of the quiet and traditional village of Meré, El Cuetu is a good base for those who haven't decided whether they want a beach or mountain holiday – or have decided they want both!
The small village of Meré is known for its 18th century "Palacio". It's a typical Asturian village where it wouldn't be unusual to see chickens running around in the streets.
Inside the property, the living space is comfortable, with beautiful views across the valley from the back rooms. There's a small garden to one side of the house and a paved terrace with table and chairs to the other.
Meré is in a great location near both the coast and the mountains. The beaches around Posada and Llanes are about 10 miles away, while it's a half-hour drive to the Picos de Europa. Furthermore, the village sits between two beautiful valleys which are both well worth exploring on foot or by car.
The village has a bar with basic provisions and bakers make deliveries twice a day.
