Ground floor: Open-plan kitchen/living/dining room. Fireplace.
First floor: One double bedroom with en suite shower room. Two twin bedrooms. Bathroom.
Outside: Terrace at the front and garden at the back with table and chairs.

This old stable, recently restored to provide beautiful accommodation for six, lies a short drive from the coast on the way up to the Picos.
Venta Los Probes is a beautifully restored large stable in the village of Puentenuevo. Set between two of the most beautiful valleys in the area, it's a perfect location to explore the hills, villages and the lovely beaches along this stretch of coastline.
Downstairs, the large airy open-plan area retains the spacious feel of the original stable, as does the staircase up to the first floor. The wooden furniture throughout has been hand-crafted by a local carpenter. Upstairs there are three good-sized bedrooms with polished chestnut floors and ceilings. At the back of the house there's a small garden with a traditional "horreo" (raised Asturian granary) and excellent views across the valley and to the small villages on the hillside. At the front of the house there's a covered terrace with a table and chairs to enjoy meals outside whatever the weather.
The owners of Venta Los Probes run a traditional bar/shop just a few metres from the house. There are also good restaurants in the pretty village of Ardisana, 3 km away. The small market town of Posada is a five-minute drive from the house.
