In the heart of the quiet coastal village of Poo, La Milarina is excellently situated within walking distance of one of the best beaches in the area.
Originally a stable, now converted into a three-storey house, La Milarina is an excellent base for exploring the dramatic coastline or the nearby mountains, or for simply having a relaxing beach holiday. It's in the centre of Poo de Llanes, a small village 2km from the fishing town of Llanes - about 30 minutes on foot. The spacious beach at Poo is a mere 15-minute walk away, and there are also a number of other beautiful beaches along this stretch of coast that are a short drive away.
The house has been cleverly renovated to make a cosy and well-equipped living space. While the property can sleep up to six people, the living area downstairs is more suited to four or five. There are wooden floors and timbered ceilings throughout the property. The bedrooms are good sizes and have all been recently decorated.
In front of the house, across the narrow lane, is a well-kept garden with a barbecue area. The garden is shared with the property owners, although they rarely use it. The back of the property looks across a large square where children often play.
This part of Asturias is where the mountains are closest to the coast. Poo is a pretty village that is set back from the coast and looks up at the Sierra del Cuera mountains nearby. There's a bar and a shop in the village. The beach is large and safe for children and has a good restaurant open between Easter and October. Picturesque mountain villages, a number of large beaches and the lively fishing town of Llanes are all within close proximity - there's no shortage of things to do!
