El Encantu is a traditional three-storey villa that sits at the high end of La Borbolla, a typical Asturian village. The village sits at the foot of the Sierra del Cuera in a quiet and beautiful valley just a 10-15 minute drive from the coast and the beaches at Buelna or La Franca. The house has magnificent views along the length of the valley, and has a large raised balcony at the front of the property from which to enjoy them.

The owners use El Encantu for their own holidays, so the house is excellently-equipped and comfortable. The stone walls and chestnut floors and ceilings on the upper floors are authentically Asturian. The house has an open-plan area downstairs with a new kitchen and wood-burning stove. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with doors to the large balcony at the front of the house. The large ensuite double bedroom (with double futon) in the loft has wooden vaulted ceilings and boasts wonderful views of the valley.

You can relax on the large, tiled terrace in front of the house or on the small lawn area opposite, which also belongs to the property. There's a private drive between the house and the lawn area, both for the use of this house and the two houses next door. There's also a separate parking area in front of the house.

La Borbolla is a lively little village with a small rural primary school and a traditional bar-restaurant which serves simple meals. There are also plenty of good restaurants to choose from in the area. A baker visits the village every day and there are several other vendors visiting on a regular basis. It's a short drive away from the historic market town of Colombres, famous for the grand colonial houses built by the rich emigrants returning from Latin America. The pretty harbour town of Llanes with its medieval centre, outdoor cafes and restaurants and busy weekly market is 17 km away.

AS032 La Calzada is a three-bedroom property next to El Encantu. Together they would be perfect for two families wishing to share a holiday in separate properties.
